Those who hunt, fish, pick berries by the bushel, or buy in bulk know the benefits of a food vacuum storage system. The exact amount of berries for one pie, for example, can be packaged individually and frozen with flavor and nutrients intact. When oxygen is vacuum-removed, food is prevented from spoiling and won’t suffer freezer burn. The Freshlock Turbo II features not only an aerodynamic turbo action vacuum but a new four-channel nozzle (the original Turbo has three). This model also features an exclusive Create-a-Pouch function that connects two or more bags, handy for keeping baking ingredients together, or attaching a bag of sauce with a dessert. Three heat settings allow the sealer to reseal chips, cereal, rice, and snacks in their original bags, and the cut-bag setting automatically cuts a sealed bag off the roll where desired.
In addition to storing food, the vacuum sealer preserves silver, old photos, books, and any number of household goods by keeping them dust-free. Slim in profile, the Freshlock Turbo II measures only 14 by 4 by 5 inches and plugs in by means of a six-foot-long cord that stores neatly inside the back. One 11-inch-by-33-foot polyethylene roll is included for creating storage bags that also can be used for microwave heating or boiling in water.
